Mcbazel Paint Thickness Tester Meter Gauge, Magnetic Car Paint Coating Tester
Mcbazel magnetic car paint coating tester, a very simple mechanical gauge for rough checks of paint thickness.
Price range: $ (Budget)
What we liked
- + Magnetic design needs no batteries or calibration menus
- + Very low cost makes it easy to keep in a glovebox
- + Quick way to spot obviously thick repaint on steel panels
Trade-offs
- - Magnetic testers do not work on aluminum or plastic panels
- - Rough indication only, far less precise than digital gauges
